Ruby the Sunshine Yellow Late Bay Window Campervan
Ruby (named not after the colour but after a lottery ticket machine which drew the numbers which won the money to buy it!) came to us with a little running issue.. She wasn’t!
She ended up spending a while with us having some welding and a total engine strip down, being cleaned, machined and then reassembled – Now she runs like a dream!
As with any old (but dearly loved) bus there are always more jobs once the most recent has been ticked off the list but as it’s summertime Ruby is off to spend her days on adventures by the beach, then when the winter comes around again, this characterful bus that we have come to love, will be back for some more TLC from team KR.
P.S. We’re so happy to see Ruby running well and enjoying her camping adventures! Oh and our sticker on the window! 🙂
What Andy had to say
“She’s purring beautifully, thanks. She’s never run so well! Can’t stop driving her with a huge smile.”
“What Ant and the team at Kustom Revival don’t know about VW’s isn’t worth knowing! I recently had a issue with our 1973 T2 which upon thorough investigation turned out to a botch job by a previous owner on the fuel tank! but then also Ant managed to save our engine by catching a gone engine bearing early! Happy to now advise it’s running better than ever before and would have no hesitation in recommending them for all your needs. I have visited the Garage on a number of occasions and have witnessed first hand various works including full rebuilds / restorations / Fabrication / Services / modifications the list goes on! Excellent communication throughout, and some really helpful advice along the way. Thanks”
